Symptoms: an error (Error 14009: Error in Validating Hash Code) shown below occurs in the AEM login page.

Cause: This issue might be caused by the FIPS Compliant Algorithms.

Solution: Please try the following to disable FIPS Compliant Algorithms and see if it can be resolved.

1. In Control Panel, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Local Security Policy.

2. In Security Settings, expand Local Policies, and then click Security Options.

3. Under Policy in the right panel, double-click System cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing, and then select Disabled and click OK in the popup window.

4. If the issue still persists, kindly please open the Registry and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa, and then set the value of FipsAlgorithmPolicy to 0.

5. Reatart IIS.
