Resolution for "Your license is not activated within the valid period" after upgrading to PowerServer 2017
Posted by Nico Wang on 01 November 2017 09:56 AM

If you receive the error "Your license is not activated within the valid period" after upgrading to PowerServer 2017, please first activate the server with the temporary license that is provided in the PowerServer installation package, and at the same time, send an email to license@appeon.com to request a new license.  Below are the detailed steps:

Step 1. Unzip the PowerServer 2017 installation package, and obtain the temporary license file "license.appeon" in the \Appeon\DNS folder.

Step 2. On the AEM Licensing page, click Activate or Upgrade License to apply the temporary license into the server to keep it working. The temporary license will stay valid for 30 days.

Step 3. Please generate a license.activation.bin file and send it to license@appeon.com to request an official license before it expires. When you get the new official license file, please follow the instruction in step 2 to re-activate the server with the new official license.
